Ways to Donate
DIRECT DONATIONS:
Donations can be sent to us by mail to 4300 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207 or by stopping in during an open house. You can also donate to us through Paypal by clicking on the above Donate Button, or below with recurring payments (Subscribe).
How your contribution can help us:
$10 - provides the shelter with enough litter for one day
$15 - provides food and medical care for one cat a month
$25 - provides 2 cases of soft food to our cats and kittens
$50 - provides 2 bags of cat food
$100 - provides one month of dumpster service
$300 - covers most, if not all of our utility bill for one month
DONATE THROUGH CHEWY.COM:
We have a dedicated store through Chewy’s Give Back Program that makes it super convenient to donate to us. Shop now here and they will send us the donated items.
DONATE FOOD:
Our number one need is FOOD! We feed a mix of adult and kitten dry food, as well as Fancy Feast canned food. Right now we are not in need of canned Fancy Feast for adults, but we do need Kitten Fancy Feast canned food - turkey flavor only. Below is what you can donate to help all the cats.

We collect Purina Receipts & Points, Fresh Step Paw Points and Fromm UPC labels. Please follow instructions for us to receive the proper credit.

SHOP SHP KITTY CORNER STORE
Please stop by the shelter during open house hours to shop our kitty corner full of goodies to buy for your cat and for you! SHP t-shirts & sweatshirts are for sale $15-25 each. Be earth friendly and grab a SHP canvas tote for only $3! Jewelry, specialty items and more for sale, come shop with us today! Proceeds to benefit the shelter. We also have some of our seasonal items from the rummage sale up for grabs. Purchase these items before they go in the rummage! Adopting a cat? Be sure to ask about our cat products for sale - litter boxes, carriers, litter, bowls, auto waters/feeders, and lots of toys!!
SPONSOR A FELINE

ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE
Second Hand Purrs collects aluminum cans as a fundraiser. Collection dates will be during open house hours, which are Thursdays from 6-9 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm.
Please bring your cans to 4300 South Howell Avenue on the above dates. If possible, please rinse your cans while you are recycling them.
